captchas

OK, I’ve upgraded to v2.4 of pMachine and enabled captchas. You have to type in a random word-number combo to post a comment so I hope that’s not too much of a hassle……..

The other option is to disable this feature for registered members so the two or three people that still leave comments smile please feel free to let me know if you’d like me to do this.  You’d still be able to leave comments even if unregistered but registered members wouldn’t have to put the captchas in.

We’ll see if this stops the spam blogging – I was receiving one every 9 minutes 🙁

I was just looking at that for WP yesterday, it sounds like a neat idea.

Jay, WordPress has something called “imageauth.” Do a search and you’ll find the guy’s site.  I’ve got it installed on both my sites now and it seems to be working (well, it’s only been a couple days, but I’ve gotten zero spam-comments in that time.)
