Caught up with Ali (a school friend of mine today) and her children.  It was great to see them but also realised just how much I miss them.  They live a couple of hours away and we don’t get to see them that often - last time was about a year ago.  Having kids at school, and both of us with husbands and kids that play sport in the weekend means we can really only meet during the school holidays now.  We both drove for an hour to meet in the middle, the kids had a run around in the park for an hour and a half, then we had lunch and more play at McDonalds.  The kids all played well together although Elliot still thinks he’s the Kung Fu Panda and had to remind him not to hit the others!  Here’s a photo of Jack (7), Abbey (6), Max (5) and Elliot (3).

While Vic and I were in Sydney a few weeks ago and on a harbour cruise one of my colleagues was wandering around taking photos. He then put them up on a server and I spotted this one of Vic.

I reckon it’s one of the most natural and beautiful shots I’ve ever seen of her…..

Just another quick one - there is a BIG update coming soon!!

Many thanks to everyone that sent cards, emails, texts, flowers and pressies for my birthday - you know who you are! I’m having a great day and really looking forward to my weekend away - flying to Auckland, shopping, cocktails and dinner with the fabulous David and Claire (friends from London), a night in a hotel, and being able to sleep in - bliss! And I’m so looking forward to lunch at Wagamamas - one of the many things I miss from the UK but is now here (although not in Wellington - yet!)
