5th December 1999.
That’s a long time ago in the world of digital photography, and life. This is from a trip I took to New York with a colleague of mine Jamie Sessions purely because we looked at each other at work and said “we have too much leave owing – where can we go?” Jamie had a mate who lived in Summit, New Jersey so a couple of cheap trans-atlantic flights later and it was the boys in New York for a week.
The thing about looking back through the photos of that trip (taken with my first digital camera a Nikon Coolpix 700) was that two things have been taken from us. As everybody knows the Twin Towers were destroyed on September 11th 2001 and sadly Jamie was killed last year.
Pictures are funny like that……..
Jamie’s in the extended entry:
Update: It seems that the case of Jamie’s death has gone to court recently and the guy will be sentenced soon.

I’m not sure if this one’s been up here before (I don’t think so)
I’m going through the process of loading ALL my digital photo’s back onto my PC and am doing this for a couple of reasons. The first is I want to have a look back through the last four years worth of shots and have a laugh
The second is to make another copy of them onto DVD for security’s sake.
There will be a few oldies over the coming weeks…..
