I forgot to mention that Max peed in his potty for the first time yesterday morning! It was only a dribble but it was enough for us to heap praise upon him and for Daddy to make him eggy bread (french toast – his fave) for breakfast 
Man, what a weekend! We had Max’s birthday party and it was manic We were up at 06:00 amd I think the first time I really got to sit down was 21:30.
Max got totally spoiled on the present front but the kids seemed to have fun with all the food, toys and new built-in sandpit 
Thanks to all those that sent or brought gifts and to those that left messages on this blog. Max was totally overwhelmed but played with everything and continues to bounce back and forth between his new stuff.

Scoping each other out….
Max put together his first three word sentance yesterday! He’s only been stringing two together for a couple of weeks and put three together during his bath last night.
I had pulled the plug out and all the water had drained leaving some bubbles behind (he loves bubble bath ) but he’s been kinda freaked out by the plug hole recently. I have been washing all the bubbles away but didn’t last night until he made it quite clear that I had forgotten something by saying “Daddy bubbles go” and pointing to the container I had used the last couple of nights.

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already! The weekend flew past with us doing some work around the house and starting the planning of what we are going to do with the grounds of the house. The section’s bigger than we thought and we have to decide what we want to do ourselves and what we want to pay people to do………
Vic and I have both been really tired the last week or so. It may be partially Max’s fault as he is being really whiny and grumpy at the moment and just hard work for big parts of the day. His two bottom molars are just breaking the gum so that may have something to do with it.
In my world the last two days of the week should be interesting. I’m spending Thurs/Fri down at one the Army’s biggest camps doing “army stuff’ whatever that will entail! The NZ Defence Force is a big customer of ours and they are taking some of their suppliers down for a “strategic session” Whatever, just as long as they let us shoot guns and drive armoured personnel carriers I don’t care
And then we’re of on holiday! YAY!!!!!! A week of driving around the North Island of New Zealand visiting friends and we are looking forward to it. It will be our first family holiday and it will be interesting to see how Max copes with the upheaval.
