God – the first of June already! 🙁

After a bit of mucking about yesterday I got my TV to act as an extension to my PC desktop. What this means is that my mouse goes sliding off the edge of my screen and appears on my TV – weird! What this also means is that I can watch ripped DVD’s from my PC on my 32” wide-screen TV
Given that, last night Vic and I watched The Royal Tenenbaums. This is a gentle, bizarre, warped movie that seems to lose it’s impetus about an hour in. It’s full of fantastically quirky characters all linked by a severely dysfunctional family that get together after years of being apart (under very bad circumstances) One problem is that for the last half hour I kept thinking that it was ending – only for the story to carry on. Of course when it did end it was a definite end (I won’t tell you) and I felt a bit silly for thinking what I did
Is it worth seeing? definitely. Is it worth buying? I don’t think so and so seeing it the way we did worked out quite well. The funny thing is that I bought this on DVD for my friend Richard only a few months ago so hopefully he enjoyed it!
Well it’s almost 3am
1) The concert was pretty good – better than I expected actually.
2) The movie was awesome! Not perfect though……
beddy-byes now! night night (or should that be morning morning?)
And by clean I mean the font that this site uses (arial – but that’s bound change) and the kitchen and hall floors. I spent about an hour on my hands and knees scrubbing and mopping. I felt very victorian and now know that the linoleum is light grey and not the dark grey I thought it was when we moved in **shudder** ! ![]()
Vic’s first year as a mother on Mothers Day
Max was very nice and bought her a cookbook written by the chef at one of our favourite restaurants in London. I’m amazed that he knew which one that was!
My friend (and best man at my wedding) Richard has just bought a webcam. If this is is what happens when you get one I’m not sure if I’ll bother!

ooooh – it’s the final of Joe Millionaire tonight ![]()
update: Well that was a bit of a disappointment. The final program was so rigged to make Zora look like an angel and Sarah not so. We figured that Evan would pick Zora as she was a very normal person and was not used to loadsa money anyway. The million bucks at the end was not the huge twist that the annoying aussie butler was making out but was fun enough I guess (and who can complain with being handed half a million bucks!).
Anyone in the US have any updates on if they are still together? We have Joe Millionaire: The Aftermath next week but I’m not sure I can be bothered watching.
This bloody cold’s still hanging around 🙁 If it’s the same one that everyone else seems to have then it’ll be another week or so before it’s gone………
…… which wouldn’t be so bad except that I need to get more work done on my teeth 🙁 I’ve had trouble with a molar that I had rebuilt about 10 years ago and for the last 18 months or so I’d get sharp pains when biting down on it every now and again. I knew it probably had a small crack in it but there really wasn’t anything that could really be done about it – until now! I was eating yesterday and felt a really bad pain in that tooth and knew straight away that something had given way. When I went to have a look in the mirror the whole inside rear quarter of that tooth wiggled nicely when I pushed it – eek! So it was off to the dentist today to be told that we’d have to remove the wiggly bit, rebuild it and the put a crown over the tooth (about a $1000 :() We have to start off making a mould and he asked if I wanted to do that now. I would have said yes but I can hardly breathe through my nose so had to put it off for a couple of days to see if I can kick this cold a bit. If I can’t I’ll just have to dose up on decongestants but unfortunately it means I have to be really careful what and how I eat.
Other than that there’s not much going on.. hmm..
