There’s nothing worse than a snotty doctor’s receptionist who insists you tell her what is wrong in a room full of other patients. I know we all have experienced this, and I love the way this old guy handled it.

An 86 year old man walked into a crowded doctor’s office. As he approached the desk, the receptionist said,

“Yes sir, what are you seeing the doctor for today?

“There’s something wrong with my penis,” he replied.

The receptionist became irritated and said, “You shouldn’t come into a crowded office and say things like that.”

“Why not? You asked me what was wrong and I told you,” he said.

The receptionist, “You’ve obviously caused some embarrassment in this room full of people. You should have said there is something wrong with your ear or something and then discussed the problem further with the doctor in private.”

The man walked out, waited several minutes and then re-entered.

The receptionist smiled smugly and asked, “Yes?”

“There’s something wrong with my ear,” he stated.

The receptionist nodded approvingly and smiled, knowing he had taken her advice.

“And what is wrong with your ear, Sir?” “I can’t piss out of it,” the man replied. The doctor’s office erupted in laughter.

Today was a shitty day.  First because I had to change three crap filled nappies before 11:00 (what have we been feeding him!?)

The second is that we had to have Vic’s family cat put down 🙁 Zebbie was 16 years old and has been really sick for the last four days.  So much so that he would wet himself in his basket and not have the energy to move out of his mess.

The vet said that it was probably a heart problem as he could hear a heart murmur and that he was retaining loads of fluid in his abdominal cavity. Anyway, he was put down at about 19:00 tonight 🙁

Saffy is fast asleep in this shot!  I was at my desk working and she just walked up my stomach and fell asleep like this – crazy cat!

I forgot to mention that Max peed in his potty for the first time yesterday morning!  It was only a dribble but it was enough for us to heap praise upon him and for Daddy to make him eggy bread (french toast – his fave) for breakfast

Next Monday is the start of my Atkins diet!  This seems to really polarise people – they either love it (usually men that have done it) or hate it and think it’s dangerous (Vic ) I know quite a few people that have done it and they all swear by it….. we’ll see.

Also the bloody cat went missing for a couple of hours today (we found her about 2 minutes ago) About a week ago we had two cat doors put in (external garage door and in the door between the hall and garage) and we’ve slowly allowed her more and more freedom as the week has gone on.  The last few days she’s had free reign of the house and grounds (and has woken us up at about 05:00 the last few days by rubbing noses and purring ) Anyway, we looked high and low for her tonight, calling for her and making fools of ourselves, only to find her curled up right in the corner of the living room under the couch!  She usually comes when you call her but she must have just been too tired. The joys of pet ownership
