Last Tuesday I went to my first meeting of the Wellington Photographic Society and thought that they seemed like an OK bunch of people. The club president gave a presentation on the 4th Rencontres Photographiques Internationales de Bergerac (4th International Photographic meeting of Bergerac I think) in which the WPS entered and came second overall (out of 18 international clubs!) Pretty daunting for li’l old me but in for a penny, in for a pound…..
Today I went on my first outing with the society and met about 10 of the members. We went to an industrial estate just out of town and I shot a roll of slide film in about 2 hours. The wind was really strong so I have a feeling that most of the shots will be blurred but I’ll get the film developed this week and let y’all know how it turned out – slide film has very little exposure latitude and it’ll be interesting to see how the cameras metering system worked out
