Amateur Photographer magazine runs a year long Photographer of the Year competition with various “themes” for each monthly round. From the thousands of entries received each month from all around the world (35mm, Medium Format, Digital and Large Format) they choose a winner and 29 other point scoring entries. Last month the theme was architecture so I thought I might as well print off a copy and send it in – nothing to lose right?
This was the first time I had entered and I had my picture published in the magazine!
I must admit that as this is the highest selling weekly photography magazine in the world this means quite a lot to me! Sure, I didn’t win anything and I have been in What Digital Camera magazine twice (and won a printer) but this is the first actual published competition I have entered and to get what is in effect an “honourable mention” makes me a very happy chappy :vbg:
I registered! I did it. How do you like me now?
I’ve always liked you Thanks very much for registering, I know what it took :hehe: lol!
Very neat Marc .. congrats!
Wow! Congratulations! I think I said it before when you posted that shot, but it’s gorgeous. The contrast is wonderful. It almost looks like it was hand drawn.
Thanks a lot Tom
That picture is amazing 😮
Cheers Step :vbg:
I see you are part of Jenn’s 1000 words webring. I’m toying with the idea of joining – I wonder if she’ll have me and if I’ll have the time?
