I’m such a dummy – it took me an hour to figure out how to turn off the default “notify me” checkbox in the new, registration not needed, comment form.
I’ve changed this weblog so that you no longer need to register to leave comments. I’ve been getting loads of hits but hardly any comments and one of the reasons may be that registration was required…..
Anyway, the only thing required now is an email address so please leave us some more comments! Let us know who’s visited and what you think.
Hmmmm. I’ve been having major problems with this site over the last few days. Whenever I visited http://www.marcandvic.com I was redirected to some holding site with about a gazillion popups!
After discussions with my host it seems that their automated renewal system wasn’t working as expected hence the “domain expired” message. It all seems OK at the moment but I’ll keep an eye on it none the less.
Anyone else have the same problem?
Update: It seems that DNS servers around the world have taken a while to synch. I was getting the “domain expired” message about 80% of the time 🙁 but haven’t had it for the last couple of hours.
Work was a bit quiet this afternoon so what does that call for?
Just a quick note to let you know that things will be changing/not working around here for a while. You may have already noticed that the smilies that you type in aren’t replaced by nice graphical ones and that the clickable smilies don’t work at all – cest la vie…….
First of all I updated to pMachine 2.2 and I have also purchased the pro version which will allow me to have multiple weblogs – probably mine, a photolog and I might import our joint weblog as well. 45 USD well spent I hope 
In the next wee while I may also take this site back to the defaults so don’t be surprised if you come visiting one day and it all looks boring and strange 
Well, I seem to have screwed up my photo’s section a bit 🙁 I was going to add a couple of photo’s but decided to manually delete the subdir I had just created. Supposedly a rebuild via the admin cgi script should look at the directory structure and rebuild the indexes. This didn’t happen and now the admin side of it is screwed up! Oh well, it’s always been a bit flakey and has been neglected of late so I might have a look for another product…………
I’m also toying with the idea of upgrading to pMachine 2.2 which, knowing my luck will f*ck things up royally

Just a very quick entry to say that I probably won’t be updating or visiting anywhere anytime in the next week. I start my new job tomorrow and the first week is to be spent in Manchester which is about a 5 hour drive away. I’ll miss Vic and the little one 🙁 I spent last night lying in bed feeling it kick like a little fullback (so cool!)
