Hi all, hope your weekend is going/has gone well
My third run today and another 40 seconds off! 18:16 – 17:43 – 17:03 :vbg: Once it’s down to less that 15 minutes I’ll start increasing the distance.
Isn’t it funny how those endorphines work. I’ve been for three runs which is far too short a time to have any effect on my body and yet I feel so much better about myself from a physical perspective. Is it because of the exercise induced natural high or is it because I’m actually doing something to “improve” myself? Probably a mixture of the two……..
PS: If you do a search for “truck marc photography” on google my blog is first on the list! Bizarre :zoink:
Went for my second run this morning. Did the same course but in 17:43 – 33 seconds faster.
ooouuuuuccccchhhhhhh
Most of the weight I lost over the last few months has piled back on 🙁
I’ll be honest and admit I have NO will power. It wouldn’t be so bad but Vic’s food demands are mostly for stuff that’s not exactly weight loss friendly. I’ve been making dinner every night for her and I just eat what she wants to eat as I really can’t be arsed cooking two meals.
But I went for a run today! It was only two miles (18:16 – pathetic) but at least it’s a start. I tried to start running about a month ago but after running once could hardly breathe for the rest of the day and hardly walk for the next two! This time though I paced myself a lot better and, although breathing heavily, wasn’t too wheezy.
I’m going to try and run at least 4 times a week to start off with and want to get to the stage where I can run for an hour without it being a struggle. We’ll see…………
Thanks to Rick, the author of pMachine I have been able to import all the entries from my old blog into my new one – YAY!
However… the script has put slashes in front of all the single and double quote marks and not handled some of the links very well (it is after all a beta script!) so things look very screwy in the archives 🙁
I’ll be working on it over the next few days so if you don’t like slashes then don’t go near the archives
Update: Thanks to Rick’s speedy response with providing me with a wee script all the slashes seem to be gone :vbg: I have also got (I think) all the screwed up links that pMcode broke in various horrible ways. Please let me know it you find anything that’s not working the way it should.
Week four of dieting and the figures are:
Date……………………10 June
Weight………………..194 lbs
Loss/Gain week…..1 lbs
Loss/Gain Total……8 lbs
Didn’t weigh myself last week and am very disappointed at losing just one pound in two weeks 🙁 I’ve had a couple bad weekends, foodwise though and still lost weight, if only a little. Better that putting weight on I guess.
I’ve just downloaded a free application called Trillian.
What it does is combine the messaging functions of MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, IRC and Yahoo Messenger into one application!
I installed it this afternoon and it found and imported all my contacts for the various messaging systems and seems to be handling everything OK so far
and I’ll be testing it out over the next week or so.
For those of use with multiple messaging systems it seems the ticket……….
Week two of dieting and the figures are:
Date……………………27 May
Weight………………..195 lbs
Loss/Gain week…..2 lbs
Loss/Gain Total……7 lbs
The loss has slowed but 2lbs in the week is OK and expected. A couple of slip-ups during the week but nothing to serious.
