Easter Sunday night and I’m sitting on the couch watching crap T.V. and writing this entry on my PDA…..
I wish there was something exciting to say but there’s not! This last week has just flown by with nothing major happening (except for Jay, Larry and Vic’s sister Ali leaving for the UK :()
Gina was asking the other day about how the baby was going. I know this sounds really bad but there isn’t really anything to say. The little baby seems to be growing well and although Vic is getting sick of being pregnant all in all it’s going well.
Have a good Easter everyone.

After many hours of waiting at airports I eventually made it to the wedding! My 10:00 flight from Auckland was delayed to take on more fuel as Wellington still had fog patches but we eventually made it back home at about midday. The wedding was about a 90 minute drive away so it was a quick trip home to say hello-goodbye to Max (I was at home for seven minutes!) and then off we went.
The wedding was held at on old country homestead and was originally going to be held in the garden. Unfortunately the weather closed in an plans had to be changed at the last minute and so the ceremony was held in the reception hall which worked quite well. Long story short it was a great wedding and my MCing seemed to go quite well.
The image effect is clichéd but what the hell

A painfully funny thing happened while playing golf yesterday.
I was about two thirds of the way around the course and was driving along in the buggy eating a banana when I bit down on something crunchy. My first thought was that I hadn’t got all the peel off – that was until the pain hit!
A wasp had flown into my mouth and, as I bit him, he stung me on the very end of my tongue!!! Luckily it didn’t swell up to much but damn it hurt! and really put me off my already rubbish game for three holes.

Bloody fog! I have just found out that because of fog this morning in Wellington my 16:30 flight has been cancelled and the earliest flight I can get on is 10:00 tomorrow morning 🙁 It wouldn’t be so bad but I’m the MC at a wedding tomorrow and this will be cutting it a bit fine………
Oh well – there’s nothing I can do about it. The only option I had was to hire a car for the 8-9 hour drive home but as I only had about 4.5 hours sleep last night I thought that would be a bit silly.
So I’m now sitting in another hotel room trying to figure out if I have to go and buy any clothes to see me through until I get home. I pack very light when I travel and if something goes awry I get caught out
Fingers crossed that the fog isn’t there tomorrow.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, we had some friends turn up from the UK late last week to stay and they’ve been keeping us busy since then. Me having three corporate golf days this week and travelling to Auckland for two nights isn’t going to help either!
One exciting thing that’s happening though is the fact that the paving contractors have started work on our garden
Eighty square meters of paving that will hopefully be complete by the time I get back home on Friday……… We’ll see
Here’s my putting technique from yesterday!

There are few good things about being woken up at 05:45 by a two year old – this would be one of them.

6 weeks of doing atkins now and how’s it going?
5.5kg (12.4 lb) down and honestly, it’s not been too hard.
Do I miss carbs? Not much, although the idea of sausages with creamy mashed potatoes and oodles of brown onion gravy makes me whimper quietly
I find breakfast the most difficult meal as I was really used to cereal or toast (both now on my “nope” list) and bacon, eggs etc. are just a pain in the ass to prepare at that time of day…….
