I realised today that I haven’t really spoken about Max lately, which is a shame as he is going through a period of dramatic (to me) change.

The change is about how he’s relating to the world in a vocal way.  I kept thinking that he wasn’t talking as much as he should but boy he’s changed that thought!  We can’t shut him up now and he seems to be coming out with new words every day!  It’s fantastic that he can come up to you and (sometimes) make himself understood – it makes him wanting specific things a whole lot easier

Another nice thing is that he’s going through a really affectionate phase where he’s just full of kisses and cuddles…… just melts my heart.

Saturday saw Dad and I sawing and nailing.  I hate to think how many 6” nails I hammered in but the raised garden is about 30m long and we went three boards up so almost 100m of boards were put into place.

Now all we have to do is fill it!  When the guys come to do the paving later this month we’ll get them to use the stuff they dig up to partially fill it and then get some nice topsoil to finish it off.  Then Vic will have the garden she’s wanted for some time (but no time to do anything with it!)

It took me a while to find the right code but at last I have got random images in the banner!  It’s easy enough to find scripts that do random images in an HTML page but harder to find ones that can randomise CSS backgrounds.  Refresh this page a few times to see what happens at the top.  Notice how the background changes but the text (which isn’t part of the image) doesn’t? Cool!

Scrubs, CSI, Stargate SG-1, One Network News and Everybody loves Raymond but even then if they all went off air I wouldn’t kill myself over it…….

Max is so funny when he plays hide and seek

Just before his bath tonight I told him to hide under the covers of our bed while Mummy came to look for him.  He hid under the covers and waited (so far so good)…….  Vic walked in and was saying things like “is Max in the closet” “is Max in the bathroom” – y’now, the usual.

The hilarious thing was whenever Vic would speak Max would yell out “BED” and then giggle.

Makes him easy to find though
