expressionengine is installed and seems to be working! Once the files were uploaded it only took about 10 minutes to get going and I’ve tried submitting comments with success
Excuse the layout but it’s the least of my worries at the moment

This weekend has been really tough work! My Dad came over and we got started on the raised garden. We had to dig 25 holes to a depth of about 500mm and the damn ground here is mostly rocks 🙁 We had a stand on digger with an auger and that didn’t cut the mustard sometimes so I spent a big chunk of Saturday on the end of a pneumatic drill trying to get the holes to the right depth! Sunday was spent cutting the posts, lining them up and concreting.

Well I’ve just ponied up the 80 bucks for expressionengine and now all I have to do is find some time to actually do the work of upgrading/transferring. I’ll let you know when to expect disrupted service
I don’t really mind spending the money – pMachine pro cost me 50 bucks and I have got over two and a half years use out of it (since here actually)
When I upgrade I’ll do a couple of things differently. The major thing is that I won’t transfer the membership data over – I don’t require membership to post here and so any membership details have probably been forgotten now. What I will be doing however is opening up membership at the new site and then removing the need for captchas for logged in members. That way you’ll have the option on what you want to do…….

The test of expressionengine is coming along. The more I use it the more I like it! Things that other bloggers have probably taken for granted like multiple categories, posting by email (cool!), templates etc. are only just becoming available to me
Now all I have to do is find 80 USD……..
