gnashers!!

What a great 24 hours – Maxwise
He woke up yesterday in a very smiley mood and was a wee poppet all through the day. We’ve been trying to reset his sleeping habits over the last 3 days and last night he went down at 9 and woke up at 8 this morning. Now all we have to do is get him to sleep from 7 ‘til 7
He’s also started rolling onto his side in his sleep! I went in this morning and he was on his side facing the wall, eyes wide open and a smile on his face…… weird! ![]()
Max’s 4th tooth came through today – 6 months 3 weeks and the little bugger’s got his 4th! I don’t know
Besides that life just goes quietly on. Things on the work front have paused – the guy that’s supposed to interview me is on holiday.
I feel a re-design coming on, maybe into more of a photoblog ‘cos I just don’t have much to say but loads of time to take photo’s. The problem with that is I know that as soon as I get a job the roles will be reversed. The other option is to start up a proper photoblog I guess, even though the lo-res project has taken a back seat with the 26 things site taking up my time (21 done and 5 to go
)

Max’s third tooth broke through in the weekend (his top right) and the poor wee man has been pretty grumpy about it too! Here’s some pics from the same shoot as the breastfeeding shot below. Three very different shots all taken within 5 minutes of each other.

8 more pictures in my 26 things project page. Still quite a few to go but hopefully I’ll get there early in the month
Here’s one of my favourites

WTF is with Arthur and Ruth ?!?
eew eew !!!!!!!!!!
Today started off in a bizarre way. I got up and checked our emails to find an email congratulating me on another POTD win at digitalphotocontest.com The unusual thing was that POTD’s are announced at about 20:00 NZ time and I had seen the site last night and my photo wasn’t there. The email went on to say Your photo, “swirling,” is today’s winner in the Landscape/Nature category. The previous winner in the category had to be disqualified because it was not appropriate for the category. Your photo was in the runner-up position from yesterday and, therefore, moved into first place today. Very strange but I won’t turn it down!………
This afternoon Vic went up the road to meet up with a ex-neighbour that has a son about 2 weeks younger than Max. Given this I thought I’d nip out to take some photo’s around the coast on the other side of Wellington Harbour. This little expedition really showed me how unfit I am. I was probably a bit silly by taking so much gear for a walk that ended up being three and a half hours! Here’s the kit I took in my back pack:
? EOS D30 body with additional battery grip
? EOS 33 body with additional battery grip (not used)
? Sigma 17-35mm lens
? 28-135mm IS lens
? 70-200 F4 L lens
? 1.4x TC
? 100mm macro lens (not used)
? Manfrotto tripod (not used)
? Manfrotto head (not used)
? Film (not used)
All up 20lbs worth of kit and I was knackered when I got back to the car
It wasn’t really even worth it as the coast is, quite frankly, bloody boring! Here are the only two shots that are worth photoshopping.
