too late :)
Well it’s almost 3am
1) The concert was pretty good – better than I expected actually.
2) The movie was awesome! Not perfect though……
beddy-byes now! night night (or should that be morning morning?)

Big night out for us tonight! First of all it’s off to the David Gray concert. We’re meeting loads of friends there so it should be great fun but it’ll feel weird going out somewhere together without Max though! Nana Jan is baby sitting and although we’ve tried almost every day to get Max to take a bottle he loves his mums milk too much and won’t have any part of this bottle lark. Good luck Janet!
After the concert Vic’s off home and I’m off to the first public screening in New Zealand of The Matrix Reloaded at 12:01am
We have had to wait until the 16th whereas the rest of the world gets it on the 15th 🙁 but 12:01 on Friday 16th is the equivalent of 05:01 on Thursday 15th in LA so it’s not so bad
I am so looking forward to this movie – I’ll let you all know what it’s like………
And by clean I mean the font that this site uses (arial – but that’s bound change) and the kitchen and hall floors. I spent about an hour on my hands and knees scrubbing and mopping. I felt very victorian and now know that the linoleum is light grey and not the dark grey I thought it was when we moved in **shudder** ! ![]()
It seems to me sometimes that life is just plodding along because there are no major events happening in my life. What I don’t realise, because I see him evey day, is that Max is really growing up and we don’t tell people about it! Here are a few things that he can now do:
1) Max can now focus on something then reach out and grab it (for the most part) Whilst this may not seem like much I think it shows that his hand – eye coordination is really coming along in leaps and bounds. Of course everything that does get grabbed goes straight into his mouth – which brings me to…..
2) He’s started to suck his thumb
And when I say suck I really mean suck! I’m surprised he doesn’t get blood out of the end of it! He started off just gnawing on his fist and then, about a week ago, his thumb popped out and away he went.
3) For about the last month he’s been able to stand up. By stand up I mean that if his feet are under him he will raise his entire bodyweight so that he is standing with his knees locked. The funny thing is that sometimes he seems to not be able to unlock them and gets all upset! lol!
We put Max in a new sleep suit this morning and he looked so cute that we had to take a few photos
This one was given to him by our friends David and Claire in the UK and is from a chain of sushi bars that we used to frequent called YO!
I have put these and three others in the image database.
Vic’s first year as a mother on Mothers Day
Max was very nice and bought her a cookbook written by the chef at one of our favourite restaurants in London. I’m amazed that he knew which one that was!
You may have noticed that I have implemented Lynda’s “Today in History” pMachine add-in at the top of the left-hand menu. It’s always interesting to see what was going through your mind a year ago ![]()
