This weekend has been an absolute blast!
Saturday morning was spent taking everything out of the garage and sweeping it out. The place was absolutely filthy and once we had packed everything back in properly we had loads more space
Saturday afternoon is when things started to get interesting. I left home at 12:00 to meet up with a mate of mine and travel into town to watch the All Blacks take on the Lions in the second test in a three match series. There were supposedly 15,000 lions supporters in town for the game and the streets had been a sea of red for the few days prior to the game and it was even more so on Saturday. We spent the afternoon working our way through town in various pubs slowly making our way to the ground and the atmosphere was brilliant with fans mixing and getting on really well with each other. A 48-18 win to the All Blacks set the night up for a great party and town afterwards was fizzing with great humored fans from both camps partying until the wee small hours.
All up it was the best and most enjoyable sporting event/day that I have experienced and something that I will remember for the rest of my life – well worth the $250 ticket and the $250 booze money!
I got home by 01:30 and was up at 06:30 to help Vic with the boys and once again the time flew until it was time to go to a one year old’s birthday party in the afternoon (screaming kids + hangover = no yayness
) Not feeling the flashest it was off to bed at 21:00 and another weekend had come to a close all too quickly……

Max has started being a back seat driver at a very early age!
He and I went out for a drive the other day and were driving along all relaxed, singing loudly to the Wiggles when suddenly I hear “Daddy two hands wheel!”
That’s right, he was telling me off for driving and only using one hand on the wheel the cheeky little two and a half year old monkey

OK – this is weird! From todays NZ Herald
Most people are keen to stay out of the pooh, but not some foolhardy Motueka swimmers and kayakers.
Motueka Community Board is having to warn swimmers to stay out of its sewage ponds.
Chairman Cliff Satherley said board members were “flabbergasted” at the discovery.
“We couldn’t believe it. It defies logic.”
The ponds are fenced and locked but Tasman District Council staff reported finding people kayaking, swimming and picnicking in the area, he said.
Mr Satherley said the ponds looked almost like a scenic area but the signs, fencing and occasional smell should be enough to keep people away.
“You’d think common sense would prevail.”
The council would erect more signs at the site.

It’s been a week of vomit this week – yay
A virus (possibly the one that I had in Sydney) has done the rounds, thankfully missing Vic out.
Max started it off earlier in the week with horrible diarrhoea and generally feeling crook. I got him out of bed Wednesday morning and he’d exploded out of his nappy and all through his bed – that was fun to clean up at 05:45 in the morning! I think he was more upset about it than me though. His one and only vomit was on Thursday and luckily I had a feeling it was going to happen and managed to get a bowl
This was after he’d woken up at about 22:00 saying “me sore tummy” and wanting to have a cracker to eat. After that he seemed to perk up a bit which was just in time for it to hit Elliot.
Elliot had it hit him slightly differently in that he’s been vomiting a lot more (and with no warning) but has been shitting a lot less. Fri/Sat/Sun he bought up the entire contents of his stomach about twice a day and usually after a really heavy feed to give him some ammo
He hasn’t thrown up today so fingers crossed……..
Other than that things are well.

Man time flies!
What is there to say? Everyone here is well and we’re all pretty healthy. Vic and I have good days and bad days when it comes to being tired but we manage to catch ourselves before we get too stroppy
Since his birth Elliot has put on just under a kilo (2.2 lbs) and we are pretty happy with that. All in all he’s a good wee man and in the last week has started sleeping in two lots of 3-4 hours during the night so Vic gets a pretty good sleep for the most part. This is just as well as work has been really busy and I’ve been out all day (almost like a real job!)
We also buried Elliot’s placenta in the garden in the weekend and planted a Camellia tree over it. This is a Maori tradition that Vic thought would be nice to do. The tree will certainly hold a special place in our hearts.
There are no new pictures of Elliot (plus he’s gone all spotty!) but there are three cute ones of Max in the extended entry……

.. to my control panel to do an update so this is being sent via email.
I have a couple of pictures I want to put up as well 🙁
In other news it was my first day back at work today and I am absolutely
knackered! In saying that I’m sure Vic is as well.
I hope everyone out there is OK – I just don’t seem to have had much PC time
over the last couple of weeks (I wonder why?
)
