5000!
Thanks everyone for getting me past that 5000th hit!
I checked at lunchtime and it was just under the 5k mark and now it’s over! I never thought I would get to this mark………
Thanks again!

God – I am absolutely knackered 🙁 This whole driving and working lark is killing me! I get home at about 19:00 and have no energy left at all………. hopefully my body and mind will get used to it soon (fingers crossed!)
Thoughts on my last 5 days:
? Last weekend was spent up in Colchester and this weekend it was Janet, Vic’s Mum’s, turn to travel home. The usual – dinner and drinking on Saturday night and then it was off to the Airport in time to drop her off for her 16:00 flight. Since then we’ve had a call to say that she got home OK and was feeling pretty good after her 36 hour trip.
? The bump is really starting to have an impact on things now. Vic’s finding it harder to move, the bump’s really getting active (I feel it at least once a day :vbg: ) and her belly button is getting really shallow!
? My previous employers are getting shafted by my previous, previous employers over a deal that we did which unfortunately has a direct financial impact on me 🙁 It’s a real bummer as we could do with all the money we can get our hands on………..
That’s about it – thanks to all those people still visiting (almost 5000 hit’s now!) and I totally understand that it’s not interesting enough to comment on (except Bekah
)
It’s 21:30 and I’m off to bed…………………………
Hi folks!
Long time no speak!
It’s Thursday night and at last I’ve found time to do a proper(ish) entry about my week so far…..
As you may know I started a new job on Monday at Real Solutions. I was up at 05:30 for the 5 hour drive to the head office of my new company in Hale, just South of Manchester, where I was to spend the week. The drive up there was uneventful as was the first afternoon when all I really did was meet my boss and pick up my laptop (which was not going to work until I got back down to London anyway!)
The funny thing is I lost a filling whilst eating dinner on Monday night and had to call my new boss early on Tuesday morning to tell him that I would be in late! lol! Tuesday was also good as I found out that I wouldn’t have to spend the week up north and could drive home that night and spend the rest of the week at home and working normal office. yay!
Wednesday found me in the office and meeting all the people that I’ll be working with on a day to day basis and I’m pleased to report that they seem like a nice enough bunch
I must say that it’s very strange but very nice to be back in an office environment after 4 months unemployment and 10 months working from home……… The drive each way is about 90 minutes and although this goes very quickly, this mixed with “normal” working hours is finding me absolutely shattered by the time I get home :zoink:
To all those people I usually visit – sorry I haven’t come around for a while but I really don’t have the time or energy to make comments. I am visiting when I can but it’s mostly furtive reading at work and I don’t really want to get caught commenting (just yet anyway
)
I’ve snuck on to a PC at my new job……….
Things are all a bit boring really – I have a laptop but no access to our network 🙁
The good news is I can go home today – YAY! I’ll go into my normal place of work tomorrow and hopefully get access to stuff.
PS: I lost a filling last night 🙁 but managed to see a dentist this morning and got a temp filling put in…..
opps, gotta go – see ya……
Just a very quick entry to say that I probably won’t be updating or visiting anywhere anytime in the next week. I start my new job tomorrow and the first week is to be spent in Manchester which is about a 5 hour drive away. I’ll miss Vic and the little one 🙁 I spent last night lying in bed feeling it kick like a little fullback (so cool!)
Have a good week and I’ll see y’all soon.
We bought a new Epson 2450 scanner today
This flatbed scanner can scan 35mm negatives, 35mm mounted slides, 120 roll film and 4×5 film. It’s very cool and although it’s going to take me while to get the hang of it I thought that I would give y’all an idea of my bad scanning skills!
Another mirrorproject entry. This is a reflection of me in the eye of Pete and Brenda’s cat Tilly. For a cat that doesn’t really like people she let me get close!
