Our 20 week scan is out of the way and I’m pleased to say that everything seems to be OK smile  We had to arrange another scan for 32 weeks as the placenta was slightly low but this isn’t really a problem – the scan’s just to see how it’s positioned at a later date.

I won’t bother putting a scan of the scan up as it’s not that good and you can’t really see what it is šŸ™

PS: If you want to know the sex the baby is then email me – I’m not going to put it here as there are a few family members and friends that don’t want to know.

I know I said I would do an update of the weekend but I can’t be arsed – it wasn’t that interesting to anyone that wasn’t there.  Here’s a brief synopsis:

Drove 4? hours to Bristol on Friday night – had dinner, got pissed, Janet (mother-in-law) threw up twice, Peter knocked the TV over and can’t remember anything after dessert smile

Spent two days there enjoying the company of nice people then drove back.  As mentioned in the previous post there are some pictures here.

The important news of today though is I FELT OUR BABY MOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME !!!! :vbg:  I am so very, very excited – hee hee………….. We have our second scan (20 weeks) this afternoon so that’s something else to look forward to – I’ll keep y’all posted.

It’s midnight and I have just got in from taking photo’s for the last 5 hours! I shot Trafalgar Square, The Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. It was a long time to spend taking just 30 shots šŸ™

It was also my first night shoot with my Bronica and I really had no idea how to meter using my hand held meter at night. Plus I had to think about reciprocity correction as well! I shot various shutter speeds from 15 secs to 4 minutes and I’ll be happy if just one shot turns out OK.

We’ll see………………

Just a few things……..

  • Little House on the Prairie: The bad man got shot and the little girl died.
  • I got the photos back from the wedding and am more than happy with them. The colour shots are pin-sharp and the colours nicely saturated but neutral at the same time. The Ilford 3200 that was shot inside the church is grainy and lacks a bit of contrast which was expected. The position that I was in didn’t allow for many great shots but at least there will be a couple that the official photographer didn’t get. All in all the lens that I hired performed really well smile
  • I have no spare cash but I would love to buy this – just to play with really…….

Whatever you do don’t accidentally start watching part one of a two part story about the rape and subsequent pregnancy of a minor on Little house on the Prairie!

Not only was I really surprised at such a topic being covered but now I have to watch it tomorrow!!!!! šŸ™

What a busy weekend! We went to the wedding of Tony and Heather (Vic’s cousin) on Saturday and had a great time. It was held up near Ipswich so Saturday morning saw us leave home with Me, Vic, Ali and Janet shoehorned into my car that was packed to the gunwales with suitcases and hat boxes smile

We had left over 2 hours to do a trip that would normally take 1.5 but then ran into 2 accidents! The wedding was at 3 and we got to the hotel at 2:20 and still had to get ready. I was never going to have a problem but the girls had to get changed and put their warpaint on – they did extremely well and we were on our way by 2:45 and luckily the church was only 5 minutes down the road.

The ceremony went smoothly. Heather looked gorgeous and Tony handsome in his full dress uniform (he’s in the Army) The reception was a typical Wright family affair with a lot of very drunk people amusing/embarrassing everyone else smile

I took a couple of rolls of film including a roll of Ilford ISO 3200 so it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out – I should know tomorrow.

Presents were opened and more food and drink consumed at the brides family home on Sunday and we had a great trip back last night.

All in all a good weekend :vbg:
