pMachine is great but damn, it’s doing my head in! The next few days will be spent figuring out how to:
? Include the register.co.uk RSS feed into the sidebar for IT related headlines Pro version only
? Get my Avantgo PDA channel up and running with the new blog – and showing what I want
? Toying with the idea of getting the cool little script here working under PM (unlikely as I have NO idea what I’m doing!)
So the next few nights should be interesting if nothing else. Hopefully there are some friendly and helpful people out there on the web……….

Man – what a world cup it’s been so far. England through to the last eight. France and Argentina out. Ireland’s valiant attempt against Spain and now the USA has just beaten Mexico 2-0 to also reach the last eight! And of course who can forget Senegal
Who’s going to win this tournament? Who the hell can tell! but it makes for great early morning TV

Thanks to Lynda we now have automatic smilies in this new blog – YAY! I’m working on getting them to be “clickable” in the comments page with a snippet of code from kathy but I’ve run into a few problems 🙁 Keep trying them and they should start working soon.
Update: Thanks to Lynda giving me the one line of code I was missing, the smilies in the comments should now be clickable. The smilie code will ALWAYS be put at the end of the text so make sure you add them as you go along 😮

I’ve switched over to pMachine and as you can see I haven’t quite got around to changing the template files. This will happen soon so don’t be surprised if you see some changes

You’ll also find that you now have to register if you want to post. If you are worried that your details may find their way beyond this site please don’t worry your pretty little heads. If nothing else, pMachine uses a mySQL backend and I probably couldn’t figure out how to retrieve them anyway

Post number 100 ! Woo Hoo
I watched the pilot episode of Six Feet Under tonight and think that I’m going to like it.
It’s a drama about a family whose undertaker father/husband gets killed. It’s written by the guy that did American Beauty and sounds dead boring (pun intended) but I think that the characters will really grow on me
