Work was a bit quiet this afternoon so what does that call for?
LOTR – Two Towers – wow! What a movie.
Golum – wow!
The Ents – wow!
The battle scenes – wow!
Just 3 hours of wow! – go see it. Now!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. If it was as good as ours then the world will be a better place
We woke early on Christmas morning (Vic’s sleeping badly at the moment) and got up to call the people in NZ that we couldn’t get hold of on our xmas eve (their xmas morning) Then we opened our pressies Even Fidget got into the mood by buying me a DVD of Billy Connelly in concert. The amazing thing is that the handwriting was scarily similar to Vic’s – is handwriting hereditary? lol! We then had a nice cooked breakfast and chilled out for a couple of hours, me by playing my two new x-box games ( Fifa 2003 and Project Gotham Racing – thanks Vic!)
Then it was off to One Aldwych, a lovely 5 star hotel on Central London to meet up with the rest of the super six and Karin, Claire’s sister for an early check-in and xmas dinner. We had a few hours to kill until dinner so Vic went for a swim in the underground swimming pool. She wanted to see how she would float with such a big bump (the answer was surprisingly well ) The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the pre-dinner cocktails yummy and dinner was superb. We finished off with a few drinks in David and Claire’s room and then it was off to bed at about midnight. Another early wake up call from Vic’s bladder found us snuggled up under the linen sheets and down duvet at 07:30 this morning very relaxed and thinking what a great xmas it had been.
Another lovely meal (breakfast this time – organic smoked salmon and scrambled eggs) and a checkout later and here we are back at home watching, bizarrely, Muppet Treasure Island and waiting the few hours until I go to see LOTR – Two Towers. Vic’s not coming as she doesn’t think she can handle sitting there for three hours in a stretch 🙁 The poor wee thing is getting pretty uncomfortable as Fidget gets closer and closer but she is taking heart from the fact that it really isn’t far away at all.
Today is the 20th of December and as such it is exactly 1 month until Fidgets due date.
YIKES!!!
How do I feel about it? Happy, scared, worried, excited, nervous – all of those things and more……..
As you can see its been a quiet week in Cramerland Have a nice weekend y’all.
.. or lack of it.
I can’t seem to find any time to work on my photoblog and yes I know it looks like crap, I’ve just started! I really need to get my head around exactly how I want to look and act like. Oh well, maybe over xmas…..
I generally seem to have a lack of time at the moment. Here’s a normal day:
06:30 Alarm goes off
07:00 Eventually get my ass out of bed (usually after having a wee chat with Fidget and cuddle with Vic
07:30 Leave the house
09:00 Get to work 🙁
17:30 Leave work
19:00 Get home
20:00 Start dinner
21:00 Finish dinner
After all that I’m knackered and really can’t be arsed doing anything more than chilling out.
Or maybe I just feel that way ‘cos my throat’s getting really sore and I’m getting stuck playing Splinter Cell on my x-box! lol!
My life isn’t terrible exciting at the moment but luckily other people’s are! Here’s a few things that have amused/shocked/saddened me over the last few days:
I got a free xbox yesterday! We had a promotion at work for selling specific IBM tape drives and as part of one of my deals I qualified for one – yay!
I went down to the local supermarket to buy a game on the way home but all they had was PS2 and Gamecube titles – I was gutted! And they had loads of these as well – not quite sure why they didn’t have xbox games as they have them on their website…….
Not to worry though as the console came with a game, and a very strange one at that – Jet Set Radio Future. This game has you roller-blading around a futuristic Tokyo covering up other peoples graffiti with your own. It’s a bit of a hoot and at least interesting enough to keep me in front of the TV for 5 hours last night! Vic was out at a team xmas dinner and I was going to pick her up so I had to stay up late anyway (she caught a cab home in the end) but I played from 19:00 until about midnight and didn’t even stop for dinner! Between no dinner last night and no breakfast this morning I’m a bit peckish………
Have a nice weekend everyone
