number 4

This post was written by Marc in the category(ies) Max 2 Comments »

Up until now Max has had longish, very fine hair but no longer!  We went out and bought him his own clippers yesterday and gave him a number 4 cut this morning.  At times he looks so old now!

Two years and four months! He looks so much older in this shot (at least to me!)

time flies

This post was written by Marc in the category(ies) Elliot, Max, News No Comments »

Man time flies!

What is there to say?  Everyone here is well and we’re all pretty healthy.  Vic and I have good days and bad days when it comes to being tired but we manage to catch ourselves before we get too stroppy wink

Since his birth Elliot has put on just under a kilo (2.2 lbs) and we are pretty happy with that.  All in all he’s a good wee man and in the last week has started sleeping in two lots of 3-4 hours during the night so Vic gets a pretty good sleep for the most part.  This is just as well as work has been really busy and I’ve been out all day (almost like a real job!)

We also buried Elliot’s placenta in the garden in the weekend and planted a Camellia tree over it.  This is a Maori tradition that Vic thought would be nice to do.  The tree will certainly hold a special place in our hearts.

There are no new pictures of Elliot (plus he’s gone all spotty!) but there are three cute ones of Max in the extended entry……

.. to my control panel to do an update so this is being sent via email.

I have a couple of pictures I want to put up as well 🙁

In other news it was my first day back at work today and I am absolutely

knackered!  In saying that I’m sure Vic is as well.

I hope everyone out there is OK – I just don’t seem to have had much PC time

over the last couple of weeks (I wonder why? wink)

    good funny and bad funny

Max showed us two sides today….

The first was when I was downstairs, he came down to see me and said “Daddy all lined up” and grabbed my hand.  He took me upstairs and proceeded to show me all the travel books that he had removed from the bookshelf and lined up for my perusal smile

The second was even funnier (but much harder to clean up!) Max had gone down for his afternoon nap and after about an hour I heard him bawling his eyes out for some reason.  I went upstairs to find him sitting on his bed where he had obviously got himself ready for a nappy change.  He’d got his changing mat, wipes, a nappy and a tub of nappy rash cream in preparation……  As you can see below he decided to have some fun with a whole tub of cream and the damn stuff was everywhere!  It was all over his hands to a thickness of about a quarter of an inch, over his bed clothes, his legs, the clothes he was going to put on, you name it!  I had to laugh though smile Into the bath he went and plenty of washing later he was spic and span.

It wouldn’t be so bad but the damn stuff is water repellent and is proving a sod to get off everything…..

    meningococcal B

This post was written by Marc in the category(ies) Max No Comments »

New Zealand has one of the highest rates of meningococcal disease in the world for some reason and after a spate of outbreaks over the last few years the government is innoculating every child against it.

This morning was Max’s first of three injections and he was a little trooper!  He had the injection in his thigh and cried for about 5 seconds until the offered jelly beans distracted him smile
