i now have a search function available! – it’s in the sidebar at the right of the page. although my weblog is only a page long at the moment it will get bigger and so i thought that a search function would be a good idea (for me as well as you) the page that the search goes to is really crap at the moment but it does the job, and i’ll be working on it after easter.
well, the third attempt at an upgrade worked – a big thanks to the people at the movabletype support forums. it was all due to an errant letter “T” in the main cgi script. you won’t see much of a difference but the entry and maintenance systems have been completely revamped.
on the tv front i managed to get the 14” tv from the bedroom to work with sky – yay! it looks very silly though sitting on a cabinet designed for a 28” system but i just have to sit closer.
i’m slowly coming to grip with CSS and may try a redesign of the main page after easter – we’ll see how that goes

and according to the support forums at movabletype it seems to be happening to other people as well. i think i’ll give it a few days and see what happens on the forums……
also: the whole tv buying experience didn’t go well this afternoon either. all the electronics shops in surrey quays have plenty of tv’s on display but none in stock – what’s the fewkin point!! “we’ll have to get them from our warehouse which will take 2-3 days” – bollocks to that, my tv has just blown up and i want a replacement!
well after 3 months of living with bizarre behaviour from the TV it’s finally given up the ghost 
– in saying that we get to buy a new one 
so it’s off to the shops!
the only problem is that as we may only be here for a short while i doubt very much if we’ll get a decent one, probably some crappo thing from tescos

just tried to upgrade this weblog to version 1.4 to version 2 – didn’t work
i have restored the previous version and will give it another go once i receive some feedback on the movableype.org support forums.

here’s a great site that tests you for human viruses. it works by testing you on symbol recognition and works out which “viruses” you have
it’s a hoot – give it a go.
Went to Twycross Zoo yesterday with a dozen or so fellow Canon digital SLR users. I also rented a 300mm F2.8 L IS lens from a place here in London to take with me. This lens is pretty big and costs about ?4,500 (hence the renting!!)
