OK, I’ll admit it – I’m a bully…….
For the last week I’ve really been putting pressure on Vic to book some driving lessons and she has her first one this morning! She has her full license but hasn’t driven for about 10 years so we thought that some reminder lessons are probably a good idea before she takes Max anywhere
After I get a job I really want her to be 100% mobile which is why I’ve been pressuring her – who knows when I’ll get a job (absolutely no movement on that yet though…… :()
The poor wee thing is so nervous…. I love you Vic – go out there and enjoy it xoxoxo

Our stuff that we sea-freighted from the UK has turned up
13 weeks down the track and I have my scanner, x-box and DVD player – oh happy days
The only problem is we have a very small flat and already pretty much have everything to make a house run. 14 tea-chests of stuff is not going to fit in here! I think that we’ll be going through the boxes and then putting most of it back into storage until we can buy a house.
It’ll be nice to have our stuff though. Vic and I weren’t really a couple when we moved to the UK so the last 10 weeks or so have been spent with my stuff and her stuff
Oh well, off to change plugs on all the electronics……….

Got broadband? cable? Any internet connection that is always on? I was visiting one of my regular reads The Luminous Landscape and Michael had an interesting link to a site that tests how secure your connection is.
Shields up! seem like a pretty cool service (and it’s free
) It shows my system to be secure except for one area (and no I’m not going to say what it is!)
Give it a go.

I’ve just created my first photoblog!
Now don’t get all excited………… I already have my images section so I wanted to do something different and most of all easy. What popped into my mind?
holgas, lomos and a digital equivalent – lo res
yep – me and my PDA will be scouring the streets for things to shoot. These will then be presented to you in all their 76800 pixel glory
There won’t be a link from here (way too embarrassing) so if you want to keep an eye on it then bookmark it!
a low res voyage of visualisation

Not really
Thanks to Lynda I now have the 5 most recent entries on the left.
As a bit of silliness I also have a random saying/quote
If you have any favourite sayings or quotes let me know and I can add them to the database.

Vic, Max and I drove up the coast today to visit my great aunt (Max’s great great aunt!) to wish her happy birthday. She turned 92 today and, to be honest, is losing the plot just a bit. One thing that she does know is that Max exists though
I haven’t seen her for about 6 years and although I don’t think she quite new who I was the joy that she showed at seeing Max made me quite emotional. We also gave her a card that I’d made with the latest photo of Max (yes, that shot again!) on the front and as soon as I gave it to her she kissed his little face.
Here’s a couple of shots.

Yep, another Picture of the Day at digitalphotocontest
This time in the B&W category for the picture of Max below (but in Black and White of course)
I haven’t had one for a while so I’m quite chuffed! I love this shot
We have it printed out and at 5×7 and whenever I look at it I just have to smile.
