%$#$&&$!!!

Remember how last year I had major problems with this site? Well you probably don’t but it happened again this year!!  Bloody Nexpoint are crap!  I need to take more control over this but I’ve just paid for another year (last time I get a host that gets paid annually!) I think I’ll bite the financial loss and move somewhere else in about 6 months.

Talking of net type stuff I’ve just registered http://www.aboutlight.com for a pure photography site. I bought it through godaddy and can’t believe how easy and cheap it was!  It’s just parked at the moment and I’m going to test drive a new host (maybe vervehosting) in the next month or so.

Today Vic and I have been married for 3 years! Our lives have changed somewhat over these last few years and as far as I’m concerned it’s all good smile The 3rd wedding anniversary gift is either leather (traditional) or crystal (modern) so I bought Vic a bunch of Swarovski crystal roses. She always complains that I never buy her flowers so it was a win-win gift wink To celebrate we are are off out on a date tonight smile while my Mum looks after Max.

While I was trying to figure out a gift I was thinking back over our time together and I remembered when I proposed to Vic……..

It was the 2nd July 1999 and the day of the Lord Mayors parade in London.  The night was still and warm so we had caught the bus down to Tower Bridge to watch the fireworks.  We were standing on the bank of the Thames with Tower Bridge lit up and the fireworks started going off. Vic was standing in front of me and I had my arms around her as we gazed up at the multi-coloured extravaganza going on above us and I leaned forward, kissed her earlobe and whispered “will you marry me” in her right ear. She turned around, said yes and then we kissed.  The rest of the evening was spent in a warm fuzzy haze as we made our way back home.

It seems both a long time ago and just like yesterday.  Here’s to many more years together.

Max had his first visit to the beach today. Loved the sand – hated the water smile

happy new year!

I know I promised a proper update but hey…….

Let’s just say that Xmas was crazy smile Max was spoilt rotten (but not by us) but didn’t really understand what was going on.  We spent a couple of nights away at friends and family and all up it was a really enjoyable time.

The new year came in with something in between a bang and a whimper. We spent it at Jay and Larry’s whilst Max stayed with his Nana. Many, many cocktails were consumed and the sleep in the next morning was appreciated wink

When I look back at the last year I find at hard to believe just how much my life has changed. Max arriving, moving back to NZ and being back with family has all combined to make my situation so completely different that sometimes I find it hard to remember what it was like pre-Max

I wouldn’t change it for the world and all I can do is hope that 2004 is half as exciting and challenging as 2003 was!
