The whole weight loss thing has slowed down but at least it hasn’t stopped
7.5kg (17lb) lost so now I’m down to 87kg (192lb) from 94.5kg (209lb)
Luckily I still have 15kg of bacon to go… lol!

The Greenwich Foot Tunnel in London runs under the River Thames between Cutty Sark Gardens and Island Gardens, on the Isle of Dogs. It is 1,217 feet in length and approx 50 feet deep. Its original purpose was to allow south London residents to work in the docks on the Isle of Dogs. It was designed by Sir Alexander Binnie and was opened on 4 August 1902 at a cost of £127,000. The tunnel is lined with 200,000 glazed white tiles.

That’s a long time ago in the world of digital photography, and life. This is from a trip I took to New York with a colleague of mine Jamie Sessions purely because we looked at each other at work and said “we have too much leave owing – where can we go?” Jamie had a mate who lived in Summit, New Jersey so a couple of cheap trans-atlantic flights later and it was the boys in New York for a week.
The thing about looking back through the photos of that trip (taken with my first digital camera a Nikon Coolpix 700) was that two things have been taken from us. As everybody knows the Twin Towers were destroyed on September 11th 2001 and sadly Jamie was killed last year.
Pictures are funny like that……..

Jamie’s in the extended entry:
Update: It seems that the case of Jamie’s death has gone to court recently and the guy will be sentenced soon.
Max had another big milestone in his life today (at least to us)
We’ve had a couple of potties lying around for a while (and some toilet seat inserts) and every now and again we’ll think that Max wants to go to the toilet and we’ll sit him on one on the off-chance and a while back he squeezed a bit of urine out but not what you call “going to the toilet”
This morning he was sitting playing and he looked up at Vic and said said “Mummy me poo” so she asked him if he wanted to go and sit on his potty. He said yes but then proceeded to tell her that Daddy had to take him! I was in my office but went and got Max, sat him on his potty and away he went with a huge stream of wee
I’m so proud of my little man and we’ll have to see how it all pans out over the next couple of days/weeks ![]()
