the world’s shortest fairy tale
Ta to my mate Rico for this
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl “Will you marry me?”
The girl said “No.”
And the guy lived happily ever after and went playing golf and fishing and watched a lot of footy.

I got around to buying a cheap webcam today so we can now send our moving image around the world
The other reason I bought it was that during one of my many rebuilds I knackered the mic port on the shuttle……..oops.

Where the hell do they go! It seems that the only time that Vic and I slowed down was on Saturday night to watch the final of CSI that I had taped from a while back! At least I got the concrete slab laid for the garden shed – now all I need is an actual shed ![]()
In other boring news it now 09:30 on Monday morning and I’ve had time to get up (at 05:15!), shower, drive to the airport, fly to Christchurch, circle for 30 minutes looking at the lovely fog from 20,000 feet, fly back to Wellington, rebook my flights for Thursday, drive home and have a coffee. Not bad for 09:30 ![]()
Elliot rolled over for the first time today! It was the easy version (front to back, using arms to raise head, no half twist, difficulty 1.6) but even so it’s a step (or roll) along the physical coordination road……
It was a while coming but Max reached another milestone today – he counted all the way to 10 on his own! Max has been so close for a while but would always get misled somewhere along the line. 4-5-8, 6-7-8-7 you name the combination he seemed to come up with it! He’s got a one friend his age that has been counting to ten for a while now (his mother’s a teacher which may help
) so he seems to be in the middle of the bunch.
Another cool game we played while I was getting him ready for bed a few days ago was to name animals that live in the sea, have two legs, have four legs, fly in the sky – you know, the usual. One that I threw in there that I thought would confuse him was “name an animal that lives under the ground” He thought about for at least ten seconds and then said “worm” – good man!
Many, many congratulations to Tom and Alissa on the arrival of Amanda Jane two days ago.
She’s beautiful.
