500 bucks per line!
It’s going to cost $500 dollars per line to get a phone line into our new house (and I need 2) The cable runs right outside our front door and it’s surrounded by other houses so it’s not like they have to run wiring into the countryside. $1000 down the drain.
F*cking Telecom and their virtual monopoly!!!!!!!!!!!
I am well pissed off………. and there is nothing I can do about it ‘cos there’s no other suppliers to 98% of the country.

… and after all the drama with the vinyl for the bathrooms we picked another one and are still on for the 25th of June.
Less than three weeks!!
It’s the end of a Tuesday after a long weekend (Queen’s Birthday) and I’m a firm believer that these are worse than Mondays after normal weekends. Although it’s nice to have a three day weekend it’s harder to get back into the work week 🙁
We had a great weekend though. Jay, Larry, Gayle and Ali came around on Sunday night for pizza and we spent the evening just chilling out and chatting. Vic and I also looked for a second car over the weekend but didn’t find anything that took our fancy.
My highlight of the weekend was watching love actually with Vic last night. It was really nice to snuggle up on the couch with her for a few hours and the movie itself was great. It’s a nice, light movie with a great British ensemble cast and was full of twisted, quirky storylines than only the British can do well.
Man, I am so tired tonight 🙁 Max has a cough and has woken up at 05:30 the last two mornings which unfortunately have also been really busy days for me. Yesterday I had five meetings with five different customers in five different locations and today it was five with four customers. Not stressful just loads of rushing around. It’s almost been like having a real job!!
In other news we find out tomorrow if they can supply our new choices of vinyl…… the problem is that they can’t install the toilets until they’ve put the vinyl down so fingers crossed.
Oh yeah, and the CSS for this page is confusing the hell out of me! I can see it under IE6 but Gina can’t! WTF? And I can’t be arsed looking at it until the weekend – sorry Gina

I have a projector from work and am doing this entry on a screen that measures about eight feet wide on my lounge wall! sweet We also watched some TV as well which was OK at best – it is a business projector though…….
In house news we have started to run into problems with part of the flooring delivery 🙁 and can’t have the vinyl we want in the three bathrooms **grrr** There isn’t any in the country so we’ve had to choose another one and we now have to wait and see if that one is available and won’t push the move-in date back 🙁
