I just discovered today that Google publishes statistics relating to searches on a page called Zeitgeist.
This page shows not only the most popular searches but also those that are increasing and decreasing in popularity (and loads more) An interesting read once a month or so methinks.
Zeitgeist Explained…
zeit?geist | Pronunciation: ‘tsIt-“gIst, ‘zIt | Function: noun | Etymology: German, from Zeit (time) + Geist (spirit) | Date: 1884 | Meaning: the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era

I’ve just upgraded to Movabletype 2.11 so if you run into any problems please let me know
I think that I moved all my MT file changes over. I updated the automatic smilies so that they now align=”absmiddle” which had been bugging me for a while

Poor Vic
Working at home I like to snack. Before Monday it would be something tasty – sandwich, potato chips, chocolate, you know, nice food. Due to my one day old diet yesterday found me chowing down on raw vegetables and fruit. I love raw veges and yesterday saw me consuming raw cabbage, carrots and oranges. These, in conjunction with the baked beans on toast that I had for lunch made for a very intestinally volatile mix. Let’s just say that by the end of the evening poor Vic wasn’t very happy with the fetid atmosphere in our little flat – sorry baby! *smooch*
Spell checking within IE
I found a link on movabletype’s support forums to ieSpell. ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell checks text input boxes on a webpage. Very handy for bloggers who can’t type for shite ie: me
I’m sure there was something else… maybe it’ll come to me later!

So welcome to the first day of my weight loss attempt (otherwise known as my diet
) I haven’t worked out a target weight yet but i’d like to lose at least 20 lbs.
Date……………………13 May
Weight………………..202 lbs
Loss/Gain week…..0 lbs
Loss/Gain Total……0 lbs
When I was weighing myself it reminded me of the annual weigh-in to play rugby when i was at boarding school (my god their website is crap!) We had this kid who was short for his age and, as the teams were picked on weight, he would always be picked to play with and against kids younger than him. For the last few years he would go to the weigh-in with weights in his pockets and a dumbell held behind his back………….

all my clothes have shrunk!
but seriously i am officially “too fat !” by officially i mean too fat for my liking. in the last six months i have become a right bloater and have decided I need to do something about it. i have not weighed myself but will do so on monday morning when i will try to start slimming world – not officially of course but vic has all the books and stuff from before our wedding so I?ll use those as a guide.
it’ll be tough methinks ‘cos i work from home 🙁 but i reckon if i get rid of all the crap food i should be ok. this is purely due to the fact that i am too lazy to walk to the shop to buy food – crap food tastes great but it’s not worth leaving the house on a special trip for!
every monday morning i am going to weigh myself and post the results here. hopefully the sheer embarrassment of having a bad week in front of everyone will keep me on track and make up for my extreme lack of self control and will power. my hope is it?ll work kinda like the weekly weigh-ins they have at slimming world meetings.
on monday morning i will find out how much i weigh and set a target weight.

woo hoo ! i’ve just entered my first photography club competition
a couple of weeks ago i joined a photography club and they have a Black and White print competition coming up – i entered these 4 pictures:
that i printed on my epson 750. i’m just trying to get to grips with the whole printing thing so they weren’t as good as i was hoping. as this is my first comp and the printing isn’t great i’m really not expecting too much but it’ll be nice to get some feedback from the pro that’s doing the judging and the other members as well.
prints in today and results on tuesday nite!

the end of another long bank holiday weekend that is 🙁
vic and i spent it with the rest of the super six at the wee village of thornham, suffolk. the village is on the coast in the east of england and is known for it’s bird sanctuaries.
claire had booked us into this cottage (the virtual tour is cute) and from the looks of it it was built in the 1700’s
the weather wasn’t much cop unfortunately so the weekend was spent playing PS2 (for the boys) and drinking (y’all must think all i do is drink!)
on saturday i was awake early and so went for a walk to the beach just before seven. after living in the middle of london for four years it is always nice to get out into the country and this was no exception. it was very strange to have birdsong as the only noise for about 30 minutes. i took ALL my camera gear but only took about 12 frames the whole weekend due to the weather, most of them on this walk.
sunday we all went to sandringham. this estate is one the queens estates and is in regular use by her and her family. it was ok at best and the tour of the house only took in a few rooms. all in all a bit disappointing for 6 quid really.
sunday nite was spent with vic drinking fluffy ducks and being the cutest i’ve seen her for a while and me making up random drinks with whatever was handy (bad move……)
and that was it! another weekend spent with friends recovering from hectic weeks.
did anyone else do anything interesting?
