Well we made it through the night! Vomiting and diarrhoea – we had people with every combination.
Max – vomiting only. Threw up in three sessions between 6 and 10pm. We’d given him a bowl and he used it every time the wee star.
Vic – vomiting and diarrhoea. Sometimes at the same time! Nice…..
Marc – Diarrhoea only and even that didn’t kick in until about 3am. I had, however, been awake from 10pm until 2am keeping an ear out for the boys.
Elliot – Nothing. Right as rain the lucky bugger 🙂
So all up a great night! Everyone is much better this morning though so I guess that it was just something that needed to get out of our systems one way or the other…….. Thanks for all the emails wishing us well 🙂

Interesting to see that ESPN are up to their old tricks again! I saw the medal tables and it rang a bell 🙂
BBC’s medal table has the US in third

…and ESPN’s have them in first!

Cool! I’m sitting here watching the cycle road race at the Olympics and the cyclists are going through a place called Badaling just outside of Beijing. That’s where I visited the Great Wall of China in ’91. I even recognosed the carpark after all these years 🙂

I’ve finished (at last) reading James F. Hamilton’s Night’s Dawn trilogy all in one go. Six volumes each at more than 600 pages in paperback form! Naturally I read it on my Sony Reader and what a great read it was!
It was a strange series mixing sci-fi with a lot of afterlife/spiritual threads mixed in. The 3600 odd pages flew past and the the ending drew all the different story lines together brilliantly.

The mighty Phoenix reached the first cup final in their short history and last night played the Melbourne Victory, last years league winners, in the pre-season cup final.
9,208 people watched the two teams have their chances in regulation time but no-one could break the nil all deadlock. After 90 minutes it all came down to a penalty shootout.
The Phoenix lost 8-7 after about 15 minutes of agonising shots from the spot…….
A great but ultimately disappointing night.

Here’s Vic and Emma during the shootout!
